The Beast of Revelation: Who Is the Antichrist and Why Does the World Fear Him?

Introduction

Few biblical figures evoke as much fear, fascination, and speculation as the Antichrist—the ultimate embodiment of evil in the Book of Revelation. Described as the Beast (Revelation 13), this end-times tyrant will deceive the world, wage war against God’s people, and establish a global dictatorship before Christ returns to defeat him.

For centuries, Christians have tried to identify who the Antichrist might be—from Roman emperors to modern political leaders. Some believe he will rise to power in a time of global crisis, wielding unmatched influence through politics, religion, and technology.

In this deep dive, we’ll explore:

  1. What (or who) is the Antichrist?
  2. Why do Christians fear his coming?
  3. 5 historical figures once believed to be the Antichrist
  4. 5 modern candidates who fit the profile
  5. How should Christians respond to Antichrist speculation?

1. Who (or What) Is the Antichrist?

The term “Antichrist” appears only in the letters of John (1 John 2:18, 22; 4:3; 2 John 1:7), where it refers to anyone who denies Christ. However, in Revelation, the Antichrist is depicted as the Beast from the Sea (Revelation 13:1-10), a satanic world leader who:

  • Rises to global power (Revelation 13:7).
  • Performs deceptive miracles (Revelation 13:13-14).
  • Demands worship (Revelation 13:8).
  • Enforces the Mark of the Beast (666) (Revelation 13:16-18).

He is closely tied to the False Prophet (Revelation 19:20), who promotes his agenda, and the Dragon (Satan, Revelation 12:9), who empowers him.

Key Traits of the Antichrist:

  • Charismatic but deceptive (Daniel 8:23-25).
  • A political and religious unifier (Revelation 17:12-13).
  • Persecutes believers (Revelation 13:7).
  • Seeks to replace God (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).

2. Why Do Christians Fear the Antichrist?

The Antichrist represents the ultimate enemy of Christ and His followers. Here’s why his coming is so terrifying:

A. He Will Deceive the World

  • Jesus warned of “false Christs and false prophets” (Matthew 24:24).
  • The Antichrist will perform lying signs and wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10).

B. He Will Bring Persecution

  • The Bible predicts a time of great tribulation (Matthew 24:21).
  • Many believe Christians will face martyrdom under his rule (Revelation 13:7).

C. He Will Control the Global Economy

  • The Mark of the Beast (666) suggests a financial and spiritual loyalty test (Revelation 13:16-17).
  • Those who refuse will be cut off from buying or selling.

D. He Will Be a Master Manipulator

  • The Antichrist will likely emerge during a time of crisis, offering peace and security (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
  • Many will follow him blindly, believing he is a savior.

3. 5 Historical Figures Once Believed to Be the Antichrist

Throughout history, many leaders have been accused of being the Antichrist. Here are five of the most famous:

1. Nero (Roman Emperor, AD 54-68)

  • Why? Brutally persecuted Christians; some scholars believe “666” (Revelation 13:18) refers to Nero’s name in Hebrew numerology.
  • Connection: The early church saw him as a prototype of the Antichrist.

2. Pope Boniface VIII (13th Century)

  • Why? Medieval reformers accused him of blasphemy and corruption, claiming he fit the “man of sin” in 2 Thessalonians 2.
  • Connection: His feud with King Philip IV of France led to accusations of usurping Christ’s authority.

3. Napoleon Bonaparte (19th Century)

  • Why? His military conquests and self-deification (he crowned himself emperor) made many fear he was the Beast.
  • Connection: Some saw his rise and fall as mirroring Revelation’s prophecies.

4. Adolf Hitler (20th Century)

5. Henry Kissinger (20th Century)

  • Why? His role in global politics and the 1973 oil crisis led some to link him to the “false peacemaker” of Revelation.
  • Connection: Hal Lindsay’s The Late Great Planet Earth suggested Kissinger fit the profile.

4. 5 Modern Candidates Who Fit the Antichrist Profile

Today, several figures are speculated to be potential Antichrists due to their power, influence, and global reach.

1. Klaus Schwab (World Economic Forum Founder)

  • Why? Promotes “The Great Reset”, a globalist agenda some fear could lead to economic control (Mark of the Beast).
  • Connection: His call for digital IDs and AI governance aligns with fears of a technocratic dictatorship.
  • Source: The Great Reset and Bible Prophecy – Prophecy News Watch

2. Pope Francis (Leader of the Catholic Church)

  • Why? Some Protestants believe the papacy itself is the Antichrist system, citing historic Reformation views.
  • Connection: His interfaith efforts and global influence spark fears of a one-world religion.
  • Source: Is the Pope the Antichrist? – GotQuestions

3. Bill Gates (Tech Billionaire)

  • Why? His desire for world DEpopulation, sketchy history with controversial vaccines, and digital ID raise concerns about the Mark of the Beast.
  • Connection: If digital ID becomes mandatory, could they fulfill Revelation 13?
  • Source: too many to list!

4. Vladimir Putin (Russian President)

  • Why? His imperial ambitions and war in Ukraine fit the “King of the North” prophecy (Daniel 11).
  • Connection: Some believe he could be a precursor to the Antichrist’s rise.

5. A Future AI Superintelligence

  • Why? If AI gains autonomous power, could it become the ultimate deceptive force?
  • Connection: The image of the Beast (Revelation 13:15) might be a digital or AI construct.

5. How Should Christians Respond to Antichrist Speculation?

While it’s fascinating to speculate, the Bible warns against date-setting and paranoia. Instead, Christians should:

  1. Focus on Christ’s Return (Acts 1:7 – “It is not for you to know times or seasons”).
  2. Live Righteously (2 Peter 3:11 – “What sort of people ought you to be?”).
  3. Test All Spirits (1 John 4:1 – Not every leader is the Antichrist).
  4. Share the Gospel (Matthew 24:14 – The end will come after the Gospel is preached to all nations).

Conclusion: The Antichrist Is Coming—But Christ Has Already Won

The Antichrist remains one of the Bible’s most mysterious and feared figures. While history is full of tyrants and deceivers, the true Beast will be uniquely empowered by Satan to lead the world into rebellion against God.

Yet, Christians need not fear: “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). No matter who rises to power, Christ will return to destroy the Antichrist and establish His eternal kingdom.

What do you think? Could one of these modern figures be the Antichrist, or is he still to come? Share your thoughts below!

2.25 The Many Faced Man

Book II: Chapter 25
July 12

“But how could Benedict hold our Nails in his hands without being destroyed?” Alan pondered at my unexpected revelation about the Pope.

“And without dying?” Miriam was still in shock herself at my suggestion.

Another long pause followed as they tried to make sense of things. I smiled as they prattled on, enjoying my drink.

Naturally it was Miriam who rained on my parade, “For you, O Lord, are the Most High! Don’t you see, this merely confirms what I’m saying — Benedict will be filled with divine power at the appointed time, so that he CAN hold the Nails in order to destroy Bates as Dr. Ma’bus and thus enable Christ’s return!” And she smiled winsomely at the thought.

(Dammit! I hadn’t thought of it that way — she just might be right).

Envy rots the bones.” I muttered under my breath, before replying to her, “If that’s true, Mary, then what are WE still doing here? In your theory we three are useless.”

“John.” Alan raised a hand. “You know our mission – we are to guard The Nails until the day they are needed, until The Second Coming. Nobody said our role would be in the spotlight. Isn’t it enough to know that our work will be directly responsible for aiding Christ’s return?”

<SMASH!> I threw my glass against the wall. “No, Laz-a-rus, it is not! Do you think I wanted to wait around here for two thousand years, guarding a worthless piece of iron, only to give it off to someone else at the moment of truth — so THEY can get all the glory? That’s a raw deal!”

“John, you know that’s not true.” Miriam reminded me. “YOU, more than anyone, know the value of Jesus’ love.”

“Two thousand years is a long time — I guess I plumb forgot; just like HE forgot about me.” And before anyone could reply, I continued, “Besides, who cares about all your theories, you’re probably wrong… again.”

“What do you mean?” Alan asked.

“Don’t you see?” I said wearily. “There is no many faced man, there is no antichrist!”

“How can you say that?” Miriam gasped.

“Just how often have you two been wrong about The Beast?” I jabbed back. “Oh let me count the ways. First there was Nero – but that was on me – he’s the one I wrote about in Revelation – or so I thought. So I’ll take the bullet for being wrong there.

“But it was you, Mary, who brought us Attila in the 400’s,” I hastened on. “Now Attila was a ruthless conqueror indeed, but NOT the antichrist. Which brings us to Alan’s theory about Archbishop Arnulf of Rheims in the late 900’s.”

“Well, he was a thinking man’s antichrist.” Alan offered.

“Yet again we were wrong. “ I concluded. “So after that, I stopped trying to guess, but you two plodded ahead. You listened to Charles V when he brought you Martin Luther in the early 1500’s – yet why you two couldn’t see that Charles was playing you for a fool, I’ll never know? Luckily I was able to talk some sense into you. Oh sure, Luther caused some problems for the Church, but on the whole, I think you’ll agree he’s proven to be a catalyst for change which the Church needed.”

“Touche.” Alan nodded. “And your poi—“

“And then there was Adam Weishaupt.” I cut him off. “Or should I say George Washington? Indeed, after he pulled his little identity switcheroo he had the world fooled – and us too. And while he advanced the cause of the Illuminated Ones, and laid the foundation for America to become a world harlot, he was surely NOT the Antichrist either.”

The Shocking Truth about our first President?

“How can you be so sure?” Miriam asked.

“Which brings us at last to the one person that you two really had me convinced on – Hitler.” I pressed ahead with my own designs, ignoring Miriam. “Yes, despite my pledge that I was done listening to you two after the Weishaupt Fiasco, even I couldn’t resist your arguments about Ol’ Adolf.”

“Well he DID fit the bill.” Miriam whined.

“And yet, we were wrong about him too.” Alan said. “Oh, he was indeed evil, but… as John pointed out, even Hitler was NOT the antichrist.”

“And so it goes.” I concluded. “There IS no antichrist. Jesus is not coming back. And we three will be forced to rot here in this world forever. Therefore, will you two please just let it be and leave me alone.”

It seemed that my arguments were having the desired effect on Alan, because he was at a loss for words. Yet Miriam continued to protest, “You’re wrong, John. This time is different. Bill Bates as Ghaz al’ Ridwan Ma’bus IS The Beast!”

“Mary, why are you so sure this time?” I grimaced. “Just because this Bates fellow meets all your criteria?”

“He does!” Miriam slapped fist to hand.

“But so did all the others!” I retorted, in disbelief at her doggedness. “Hell, Flipflop was just as bad so why don’t you name him the Antichrist?”

Yet Miriam just sat there — jaw jutting out, back straight, unwilling, or unable, to give up.

Knowing she wasn’t going to leave without saying her piece, my shoulders finally sagged. I felt as old as I looked, “OK, let me hear your story. If you must tell it, get it over with so I can get rid of you two and… get back to the business of trying to kill myself.”

“John!” Miriam said. “You’re blaspheming Christ’s work in you.”

“Whatever. Please, just tell your tale and then go. What makes you so sure that Bates is the Beast? Enlighten me.”

“Because The Infernal War has moved to the front lines of the underworld, and Michael himself is leading the troops in this campaign!”

2.22 My Soul is Yours

Book II: Chapter 22
July 11

I’ll be honest – I was still shaking as I watched a vision Bill Bates hang upside down on what appeared to be the Cross of Saint Peter. It was a gruesome scene.

For her part, Teri Abbracciavento (aka Mystery) continue to sob at the feet of man who she (and I) thought was the Antichrist. The man whom she’d laid all her hopes upon – hopes that now appeared to be gone.

Of a sudden, Bates’ head jerked up.

Jumping back, Mystery raised her hands as if to ward off a blow, even as the man who called himself Ghaz’ Ma’bus slowly opened his eyes. Yet her horror (and mine) only grew in scale as Bates’ eyeballs rolled over – showing only the whites, laced with blood.

“Ghaz?” Mystery eked out, bravely moving towards him, but her courage melted when Bates spoke!

“I am Legion – WE are many…” The antichrist advised, his visage writhing — as if the flesh of his face was being burned by an intense fire. Yet it was the words Bates spoke next that finally sent Mystery running for her life – for when The Beast opened his mouth again, the sinister sounds were the Tongue of The Abyss.

Then it was that Mystery (and I) realized that not only was Bates NOT dead, but he had not been crucified against his will either – he did this intentionally in order to commune with demons of the underworld!

“If They find out I’m here, They’ll kill me!” Mystery panicked, fearing discovery by Satan’s minions. “I’ll get sucked into The Fires!” And she raced back out of the room, leaving her master to his fate.

(Too late, woman, The Beast knows you were here. You’re doomed).

My Sight continued to follow Mystery and less than three hours later, I watched her board a plane to Rome.

“I can’t have my soul returned to The Fires.” The beautiful woman shivered, sitting in a fairly empty section of first class on a plane flying over The Mediterranean. “But what can I do? If my fate is sealed with Ghaz, only Benedict can save me now.”

Yet even as she said it a new thought seemed to take hold, and with eyes wide, she whimpered, “But what if Benedict is in league with BAVI after all? He might well laugh in my face and hand me over to death.”

Mystery’s mind must have locked at that thought, because her face twisted and she was silent for a time. Eventually she decided, “I can’t explain why but I feel my only hope is Benedict. I must escape from Ma’bus!“

Yet just then, the plane shook with turbulence.

“Whoa!” Mystery gasped – her words echoed by other passengers.

“Hello, folks,” came a voice over the intercom. “This is your captain. We’re heading into a bit of unexpected weather. Please fasten your seatb—“

But the pilot’s words were cut short – as the plane suddenly dropped through the air! Drinks and bags went flying as passengers and flight attendants struggled to keep from being jostled about the cabin. It only got worse from there as the plane took a full nose dive, plummeting through the air at breakneck speed.

”It’s my fault!” Mystery gripped the seatback in front of her whilst the airplane rapidly descended. “Ghaz, please, don’t forsake me. Give me a chance to do your will!” And she ducked as a piece of carry on luggage went whizzing past her head – slamming into a passenger a few rows in back.

Screams raged all around and the pilot’s voice came back on, “God…. help… us!  We’re going… down! If… you know a prayer… now is–”

And then something rather strange happened — for the briefest of moments, I got a glimpse into Mystery’s mind. (Is this what Miriam sees when she does her mental probe thing?) I saw Mystery’s life flash rapidly before her eyes (too quickly for me to make out much), but the important thing is what happened next – amazingly Mystery was given the opportunity to beg for The Lord’s forgiveness and grace!

The plane’s descent continued, yet for Mystery, time stood still…

As she considered God’s call.

Unfortunately for her, she hesitated – and that was all the time Ma’bus needed to bore back in to her psyche.

As it turned out, Mystery prayed like I have never heard anyone prayer before – and yet, unlike the rest of the passengers onboard who were surely also asking God for help, I realized in horror that Mystery’s lamentations were to someone altogether different – for Mystery was praying to Lucifer.

“Save me, Master!” She wailed. “Save me to do your son’s bidding. I pledge myself again to him alone. My soul is yours. Save m–”

Immediately the plane righted — to joy of everyone onboard.

The remainder of the flight was uneventful, however the turmoil had served its purpose…

Mystery no longer had any doubts about what to do.

“I will carry out my mission.” Her voice now devoid of emotion, even as all around her people celebrated. “And then I will return to BAVI. Let him do with me what he will. I belong to him… and his father. The Fires are my destiny.”

At last my visions ended. I was left alone on my back porch – my beer having long since gone warm.

“Damn. So this is really The End?” I looked up at the evening sky, knowing inside that it was all just beginning. “But there are so many good beers left to try?”

2.21 The Cross of Peter

Book II: Chapter 21
July 11

My revelation concerning Bill Bates as The Beast was about to take a very strange turn – for as soon as she was released from Dr. Ma’bus’ assault, I watched as Mystery ran to her room and broke down.

For nearly an hour, she let her emotions pour out – eventually crying herself to sleep.

(It was quite a mess and I wasn’t sure who was being tortured more – her or me?)

Unfortunately, my own agony didn’t end – I had to endure this vision until Mystery at last woke up and blubbered, “I’m doomed if I stay here. Look what happened to Dr. Flipflop! But what else can I do? Who would want to save ME?”

After a time she pondered, “Can I come clean with Benedict? If I plead for his protection, will he spare me when The Moment arrives?”

Yet even as she said the words, I saw her dismiss that notion — first off because I think she knew that Pope Benedict would not believe her, and secondly (and much more importantly!) surely she must have known that the man who called himself Dr. Ma’bus could read her mind and that harboring such a traitorous idea would surely lead to her doom.

As if on my cue, she gasped, “Don’t even think it. That was not my idea.” Again I watched her throw a tantrum, pounding on her bed in frustration — trying to erase even the memory of that treacherous thought. “Oh now – He knows!”

Frantic at this new idea, Mystery jumped off her bed and raced back toward’s Ma’bus’ quarters. “I’ve got to explain — I am not a traitor!”

“Where is he?” Mystery screamed at one of the guards who barred her entry back into the dictator’s private domain. “Which room?”

“Miss Abbracciavento, I’m sorry, you are not permitted right now.”

“You don’t understand, I must see our lord. Now!”

“There is noth—“

A knee to his groin cut off further words and, as the man fell to the floor, Mystery flew past him down the hall.

Reaching the door to Ma’bus’ room, she wasted no time in knocking but instead barged in… only to be met with something quite unexpected.

In the far corner of the room, a large wooden cross had been erected, set up in the shape of an “X.”

Nailed upon that cross, upside down, wailing in agony, was Ghaz’ al Ridwan Ma’bus – Bill Bates – The Antichrist Himself!

It was not a pretty sight – The Beast’s naked body was coated in a mixture of blood and sweat. Just as Mystery entered, his chest was racked by a violent spasm, and then his eyes bulged from his head, as if he was unable to withstand the intense pressure building up inside his skull!

“Ghaz, Noooo!” Mystery screamed.

Even though Mystery was now standing in plain sight, it was clear that this man Ma’bus did not see her — in fact, I got the feeling that he was not actually looking at anything (or at least not anything in THIS world).

Too curious or perhaps too scared to just leave, Mystery was unsure what to do.

But then it happened – all at once Ma’bus’ wailing ceased, his head flopped forward, and his body went limp as his weight pulled against the nails that impaled his wrists and feet.

(Could it be? Is he?)

“Oh no, Ghaz, you can’t die! Don’t you dare leave me!” Mystery ran over to the gruesome display and fell to her knees at the base of the cross, trying to talk herself out of this nightmare. “Why Ghaz? When you first showed me this macabre thing last year, you said it was the very cross of Peter of Galilee had been crucified upon, and I knew you were enamored with it, but… I didn’t think you would really do… THIS?”

(Was this really Peter’s cross? I had to admit, it sure looked the part. More importantly, did Bates just kill himself? Could we actually be lucky enough to see Dr. Flipflop and Bates bite the dust in the same day? Lord, don’t tease me like this!)

“What’s going to happen now?” Mystery looked at her lifeless lover.

Meanwhile, I was left to wonder – was this all part of God’s Great Plan? If so, I couldn’t help being amazed…

2.20 The Substitute

Book II: Chapter 20
July 11

<Grgggl… Grrrrrr> I watched as Mystery continued to struggle against Bill Bates’ Dr. Ma’bus persona, the girl begging him for her life.

“What’s that?” Ma’bus joked, pretending to lean in to listen to his victim, even as he tightened his grip on Mystery’s neck. “Can’t hear you, honey. Cat got your tongue? Ah, that’s too bad.”

Just then the door to The Beast’s chambers opened and Dr. Flipflop entered – he was masked and gloved and carrying a silver platter, upon which sat a scorched black caisse (I’m sure you know what’s inside).

Turning around at the intrusion, the evil dictator nodded, “Ah, thank you, Tony…my loyal servant. Wish I could say the same for everybody here.”

His eyes glazed over as if under a spell, Dr. Flipflop smiled with delight, eager to conduct his experiment.

While Flipflop waited, Bates smiled down at Mystery, before reaching over and carefully undoing the lock that held the box’s lid in place. After this he gingerly opened the ebony container and positioned Dr. Flipflop ‘s gloved hands so that Mystery would be afforded a view inside.

Now I know, to the uninitiated, a cursory glance at the contents of the box the evil doctor held wouldn’t have warranted a second look – for the lone item inside was merely an inch thick, eight-inch long piece of hammered iron.

From a modern-perspective, YOU would probably look on it as nothing more than an ordinary railroad tie and wonder why such a meaningless object would be afforded such a glamour treatment. But believe me when I tell that you it was impossible to separate the visual sight from the <aura> that emanated from the Nail itself.

For <DEATH> radiated from the Nail in the box.

<Abandonment>

<Forsakenness>

<Hopelessness>

These feelings and more pulsed forth from the Nail. (Even in my location, I could feel It’s calling!) Anyone confronted by the sight would have quickly sought to escape the Nail’s presence – I realized that Bates must have somehow used the power of Satan to fortify Dr. Flipflop against the Nail’s aura otherwise the man would have been unable to even hold the chest, yet, it was Mystery who took the brunt of the Nail’s force.

“Krrrrr—yrrrr—RAAAAW!” She screamed — yet it was all she could do to just to raise her voice, as Dr. Ma’bus still held her muscles in check – something that clearly amused him.

“Well now. Let’s see, Tony.” The self-proclaimed Antichrist laughed. “Certainly we didn’t bring Lazarus’ Nail in just so this woman could look at it, did we? Oh no. we want her to FEEL the full force of that power. Shall we proceed, doc?”

Dr. Flipflop ‘s was giddy with anticipation of what was to come, whilst Mystery’s eyes went wide in fright. She tried to scream in protest once more – to no avail.

(Something tells me this is not going to end well).

Trapped in place, Mystery was forced to stare at what appeared to be the instrument of her demise. Her eyes bulged as blood vessels began bursting from the pressure of her fear.

Luckily for her, Bates master’s next words were not what she expected — as he advised. “Tony, old boy, how’s about YOU reach in and touch The Nail for us?”

Fool that he was, Dr. Flipflop didn’t realize the consequences of his action (which was nothing new for him) and with a lack of hesitation probably greatly assisted by Gate’s pyschological hold over the man, Flipflop set down the case on a table next to Mystery’s chair, and then began to reach his hand into the box.

(Part of me wanted to shout out to warn the plandemic orchestrator. but I knew it wouldn’t do any good in the vision. Furthermore, I can’t stand Dr. #Flipflop Lies and if this was how the world finally got rid of him, that was fine by me. Go ahead, Tony, stick your hand in that box and let’s see what happens – and don’t worry, when you die, we’ll count it as another one of your fake Covid Deaths to keep your scam going).

Mystery watched in horror as Dr. Flipflop ‘s fingers neared the Nail…

“YAWWPP!” The foolish man reeled back in agony and was soon writhing on the floor (the sight of which reminded me of all the victims of Tony’s Covid Vaccines who experienced similar reactions from those DNA-changing, population killing injections).

Bates had initially backed away at his friend’s screams, yet now he rushed over to inspect Dr. Flipflop , “Ah yes, just like all the others.” Then turning back to Mystery, the nerd explained in a detached manner. “Notice how Tony is bleeding from those ghastly holes in his hands and above his ankles. He has the infamous Stigmata of the Nazarene. So far, it’s been consistent with all who have touched the Nail.”

For her part Mystery was unable to reply — for terror was still written all over her face.

Next, Ma’bus tore open Dr. Flipflop ‘s lab coat and shirt – to reveal a horrible gash in the man’s side. “And this wound is reminiscent of where Jesus was pierced by the roman centurion Longinus. Oh the theatrics of it all, neh?”

Spear of Longinus

“What about…” Mystery managed to mutter.

“The marks of the Crown of Thorns?” Ma’bus interrupted, as he reached down and hefted up Dr. Flipflop ‘s head to bring it closer to Mystery for inspection. “Look here. Do you see them? Notice how his hair is matted with blood – it’s pulsing this picket-fence of tiny pin pricks around his scalp.”

“My God.” Mystery had her voice back. “The <power> IS real.”

“Verily.” Ma’bus smiled, letting Dr. Flipflop ‘s body drop to the ground.

(And that’s how we finally got rid of Dr. Flipflop – it was decades too late of course and the evil doctor had thus managed to do a lot of harm to the world with the countless plandemic scams he’d pushed on the planet (AIDS, Swine Flu, the first SARS, MERS, and of course his prized Covid Variants scheme that helped enable Bates’ Great Reset), but as I watched the weasel that was Flipflop bleed out, I couldn’t help but think of Solomon’s wisdom “He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him” from Eccl 10:8. Goodbye, Flipflop , we’re not sorry to see you go!)

Meanwhile, Bates showed no remorse at the loss of his friend (read: his tool) and he unceremoniously used Flipflop ‘s hand to place the Nail back into its case before letting the man fall back to the floor. Bates then turned to Mystery. “And so, that brings me back to you, my dear…”

(Excellent – I hope the technocrat gives that slut the justice she deserves!)

Her face pale, Mystery looked at Dr. Flipflop lying in an ever-growing pool of blood, “Ghaz, please, no!” She begged, as Bates threatened her with the Nail. “You need me. Why are you doing thi–?”

The Antichrist grabbed her by the throat, “Don’t tell me what I need! If you have a part to play, what that entails and how long you continue in your role is up to ME! Just like with Tony here. I run this world and your life – not Benedict, not John, and certainly not you!”

“What have I done to anger you? Why are you turning against me?”

“That’s like asking the wind why it blows. Seek not to understand me, dear. Instead seek only that I might understand you.”

“What… are you g-g-going to do to me?”

Again, Bates brought Lazarus’ Nail’s case close to the woman’s face.

Mystery tried to turn away, “Please, Ghaz’, please! I’ll do anything!”

Ma’bus snapped the case closed, “You’re too easy, girl. Don’t you think I already know you’ll do anything? Yet, that’s what concerns me — for others could too easily, ah, encourage you to do anything for them too.”

“That’s not true. You know I serve you only. Only YOU, Ghaz’!”

“Is that so? Well, time will tell if you speak the truth. Be that as it may, for now, we need to move forward. Elijah and Enoch are about to give a new message. I need you to go to Rome and ensure that Benedict issues a response to the world. In addition, you are to contact Marrollo again, he needs to know about Lazarus and Mary – inform him they will soon be on the way to Rome, intent on…”

And so, the dictator continued to deliver new plans to his underling. It was clear to me that both of them knew these tasks were mere test missions to confirm Mystery’s loyalty — and it was obvious she understood the penalty if she failed – another date with Lazarus’ Nail – only the next time her experience would be much more up close and personal.

For her part, Mystery groveled for her life, assuring Ma’bus she would not fail him.

In the end, he accepted her promises and let her go. (Much to my chagrin).

2.19 The Word Became Flesh

Book II: Chapter 19
July 11

A couple nights later I had my sleep interrupted again – this time with another vision of The Two Witnesses as the word became flesh before my eyes…

<Drip… drip… drip…>

<Drip… drip… drip…>

<Drip… drip… drip…>

I watched as a frustrated Enoch, despite his blindness, arose from the prison floor and tried to ferret out the source of the annoying drip. After a time, he did successfully locate the trickle, but unfortunately the crack in the cell’s ceiling was simply too high for him to do anything about.

<Drip… drip… drip…>

Ice cold rivulets splashed into Enoch’s maw – smelling of raw sewage they were far from refreshing. And so, backing away dejectedly, he slumped back down onto the pile of filthy straw that was his bedding and did the only thing he could – endure.

As for Elijah, he might as well have been a dead log. During this brief respite from their visions, I was certain that sleep, if the prophets’ could grasp it, was a welcome relief. (Even though my own was currently being interrupted!)

Turning my attention back to Enoch,  I wondered if he ever remembered that he was once a man of renown – and if so, would that knowledge cause him to curse his present condition? For the fact that he formerly enjoyed the favor of God but was now subject to a fate worse than Job seemed like a pretty raw deal to me. (After all, this was something I could definitely relate to). Or was Enoch foolish enough to believe he was going to be rewarded for this ‘righteous’ suffering?

<Drip… drip… drip…>

“Will this never end?” Enoch muttered, head hanging in misery. “Where is our savior?”

(Well I guess that answers my question).

Suddenly my vision shifted – torn from the prophets’ cell, I was again looking upon the man calling himself Ghaz al’ Ridwan Ma’bus. He was in his private quarters and again watching a webcam of the prophets, but this time he was not alone.

“Don’t worry, my friend, I’ll save you.” An unmasked Ma’bus replied to Enoch’s question, even though the prophet never heard him.

“What does he mean?” Mystery said. Not only was the woman not wearing any Covid personal protection, but she was wearing little else – climbing off the bed she clasped a wisp of silk around heras she came up behind her lover to look at his computer. “What will never end? The virus? The world? His revelations?”

“Who cares? He’s clearly not having a true vision, so it doesn’t matter.”

“How do you know he is not prophesying?” Mystery wrapped her arms seductively around the technocrat’s shoulders.

“Look at Elijah — he’s out.” Dr. Mab’us casually brushed off Mystery’s advances. “The Two Witnesses never reveal wisdom unless they both speak. So perhaps Enoch’s just complaining about the food?”

Mystery ignored her lover’s rebuff and chuckled along at his last comment before growing serious, “Benedict suspects something about all this, you know.”

“So?” The computer whiz turned dictator continued to stare at his webcam, allowing his mind to think of ways to improve the tech in the device.

“So, he never got around to asking about the prophets, nor how Alan escaped — but only because I got out of there before he could dig too deep.”

“He knows about all of it by now.”

“How? Did you tell him? Did he—“

Bates raised a hand, “Don’t forget the kind of power we’re dealing with. Joseph Ratzinger is no ordinary man. He is one of the Chosen.”

(A Chosen — Joe? Again, I’m as confused as you are).

And closing his computer screen, Dr. Ma’bus turned to look at Mystery, ignoring the temptation of her seductive body, “Benedict already knows that I have the witnesses. And as for Lazarus, surely Benedict knows that Mary came to my lair to rescue himand that I let Mary succeed.” (Whoa, what’s that?)

“But he wasn’t happy to learn that you kept Alan’s Nail.”

“Of course not. He wants The Nails for himself – and he’ll stop at nothing to get them. I’m sure he’s already planning to influence Mary and John to bring him the other two.” (Hey, don’t bring ME into it!)

“But he won’t succeed.” Mystery smiled. “Alan’s nearly dead because of what Dr. Flipflop and you did to him to him with The Chair of Woe, and John is out of the game permanently.”

“On the contrary. Lazarus will be fine. John will repent. And Benedict will eventually get his hands on all three of The Nails.” (La, la, la, I can’t hear you!)

“What?” Mystery gasped – apparently wondering if she’d chosen the right side.

Bates seemed to know what she was thinking, “Dost thou have so little faith in me?”And before Mystery could stutter a response, he explained, “This is all part of MY plan, dear – just like with Covid. As for Lazarus, you know I only wanted to toy with him in The Chair — you know he is needed for something far more important… later. I knew that Mary would come to rescue him once she was informed by Gabriel. So by torturing Lazarus, I forced Mary to take him to the one person on earth who could cure him of the wounds I inflicted.”

“The Apostle John.” Mystery nodded.

(No, this is not happening! Please don’t let me just be a pawn. Don’t let all of my actions be predetermined! Quick, what am I thinking right now? What am I going to do next? See, YOU don’t know, right? And neither do I. So how can they?)

“Correct.” Dr. Ma’bus replied. “Mary had to take Lazarus to John. Given his resentment against Jesus, I’m sure John resisted getting involved, but I expect that Mary was quite convincing.”

Mystery smiled knowingly at that comment.

“Oh, not in the way that you are thinking.” Ma’bus explained, pulling Mystery over to lap and ripping away her coverlet. “John’s too old to care about this sort of thing.”(Hey, you’re wrong there). “And I’ve always wondered if he liked women anyway – after all his own gospel says that he is the apostle that Jesus loved. Ha!” (Now that’s a low blow. I’m not gay – not that there’s anything wrong with it — that lifestyle just doesn’t appeal to me). “And Mary doesn’t have your… talents. But the bottom line is that she has learned how to control minds – remember the havoc she caused here – my people are still suffering from her rampage. And I don’t doubt she would use that power on John too.”

(Wrong again — I did not agree to help because I was influe– Wait a second, DID Mary use her Psychic Probe on me?)

“But, even if John cures Alan,” Mystery asked, still sitting in the nerd’s lap, “how do you know they will go to Benedict? And why in Hell would they give him their Nails?”

“My dear, let’s not forget WHY these Nails exist in the first place.”

Mystery hesitated, “Er… ah… to destroy… you.”

“Don’t be afraid to say it, love. After all, what you said IS the truth.” And here the flaccid man pushed Mystery off as he rose up and took on a pompous air, “These are the very nails by which Jesus of Nazareth was gloriously crucified nearly two thousand years ago. The holy spikes that pierced his flesh and sent him to the grave. Why, the beat-up iron still retains his blood! Enemy or not, I understand the power these instruments contain — they will be the glorious tools by which I complete the Armageddon Rite and thus stop the Nazarene’s Second Coming once and for all. Indeed, December 21st will mark the official beginning to my own reign upon this world!”

Although Mystery smiled back, it was clear she was still unsure.

“I sense your uncertainty. Care to see what the Nails can do?”

Mystery took a step back, grasping for her coverlet again, “Here? Now? No. I’m confident in what I already know about them from my father, and in what you’ve told me.”

“Ah, but I don’t think you are.” The dictator reached out and grabbed her by the hair! (Damn, this girl’s been taking a beating lately, huh?)

“Ghaz, no!” Mystery shrieked, unable to break his iron grip.

Spinning her around, the man slammed her into a chair and ripped her silk away again, “Don’t move!” As he spoke, his eyes rolled back – showing nothing but the whites – and his voice became rich with an ancient <power>. “Now you’ll get a taste of what I possess.”

Although Dr. Ma’bus’ demonic persona quickly receded, Mystery remained trapped in place, whilst the man tapped his watch to activate its communication feature, “Oh Jamir, be a good sport and bring me The Nail of Lazarus.”

(Can you say, ‘Yikes!?!’)

2.18 Two Beasts?

Book II: Chapter 18
July 9

As my vision dragged on, Pope Benedict continued to strangle Mystery and I gotta say – it was a shocking sight!

So much for social distancing, huh?

I took a moment to ponder more on the possibility of TWO Beasts by remembering Revelation Chapter 13. Look it up with me, will you…

Did you read it? If not stop and go do that. It’s kind of important. Don’t worry, I’ll wait…Read Revelation 13 now

Revelation Two Beasts

OK, so based on what you read, clearly you’ll agree that the first beast is to be a political figure, right? And surely Bill Bates as Ghaz al’ Ridwan Ma’bus now fits that description.

As for the second beast, I’ve always thought he would be a pseudo religious figure, but I never anticipated it being The Pope of the Catholic Church – I mean, that’s is Peter’s Rock we’re talking about!

Furthermore, both of the beasts I wrote about in Revelation were supposed to receive their power and authority directly from Satan. Surely, Jesus would not let Satan infiltrate the Church, would He? Would HE?!?

Two beasts – the Great Deceiver and the Great Imitator. Could they really be Bill Bates and Pope Benedict?

I was jarred out of my thoughts by Joe’s viciousness – still choking his adversary, Mystery’s face was now turning blue.

“Answer me!” The Pope roared, at last he releasing his grip on the woman’s neck, yet still holding her down with his weight.

<GAAAASP! GUUUULLLP!> Mystery sucked wind back into her lungs. Tears had been forced from her eyes while the Pope had strangled her and her mascara was smudged, yet even still her face was beautiful to behold.

“I told… you…” She struggled, “I followed… your directions.”

“You did not!” Joe’s eyes were wide in blood lust as he again placed his hands around the girl’s throat. “You failed me! You failed the world.”

But this time, Mystery would not be taken so easily, and before the Pope could get a grip, she brought her knee up hard – into his groin.

The Pope crumbled backwards in agony – smashing Mystery’s chair to splinters and landing in a heap on the ground.

Now it was Mystery who had the upper hand, and she stood over the Pope, “You’ll pay for this treatment, Joe! I was never yours to begin with. You of all people should have known that. From The Darkness I came, and to The Darkness I shall return. So why did you trust ME, Joe?” And pointing down at him, “It is YOU who are the Fool, for The Brotherhood has chosen — Bates as Ma’bus is The Chosen One. Therefore I serve him, Joe… And I always have!”

(Gee, miss a few Brotherhood meetings and the world changes beyond recognition. What gives?)

I watched as Mystery then walked a line over Joe and toward the door. Stopping for only a moment to pull out her compact, she fixed her makeup before straightening her dress and then exiting The Pope’s office.

For his part, Joe remained upon the floor, in silence.

After a time, one of his feline friends emerged from some hidden corner and began to lick the Pope’s forehead — as if caring for his wounds. At last, Joe opened his eyes – yet instead of revealing tears or lamentation, I could see that his eyes were bright, almost twinkling.

Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.” Reaching up to pet his cat, he snickered, “Ah, things are going just as I planned, Deter, my love. And so the game continues — I believe that is check to you, Dr. Ma’bus.”

(Arg, all this intrigue is giving me a headache! Just who is helping who?)

Who is The Antichrist?

The Antichrist Cometh

It’s a question that goes back over 2,000 years – Who is The Antichrist? In this article, we’ll explore the topic by delving into the Book of Revelation to first gain a better understanding of the history of the Antichirst from a Christian perspective. After that we’ll discuss the potential candidates for Satan’s Son – both past and present.

Possible Antichrist’s include infamous villains of history like Nero, Attila the Hun, Archbishop Arnulf of Rheims, Adam Weishaupt of the Illuminati, and Adolf Hitler, while current candidates include the The Pope, the man behind the Covid-19 plandemic Dr. Anthony Fauci, the anti-American globalist and former US President Hussein Barack Obama, the public face of the Great Reset Klaus Schwab, and even the self-beloved technocrat turned pseudo-philanthropist Bill Gates.

Is The Beast is in our world today? Are the End Times near? Will the chosen few really be taken up to the heavens while the rest are “Left Behind?” Come with us as we explore the mystery of The Antichrist.

Revelations 13:15

“Here is wisdom: let him that hath understanding count  the number of The  Beast: for it is the number of a man and his number is 6-6-6…”

Brief History of The Antichrist

To understand about The ANTIchrist, we must first understand the mystery of “The Christ.”

From the Greek word “Christos,” Christ is a Christian word that means “Savior” or “Redeemer” and many Christians (myself included) believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Savior of the World who will lead his people to an everlasting life.

It should be noted that Christians didn’t come up with the idea of The Christ in a vacuum – since Jesus was in fact a Jew and it was the Jewish people’s concept of a “Messiah” who would save the Israelite people from and liberate from their struggles.

Unfortunately for Jesus from a Jewish perspective, his people didn’t buy into him as the Jewish Messiah and I’m sure you know how the story unfolds from there – his Crucifixion, his Death, and (as Christians believe) his Resurrection.

Understanding the history of Jesus as The Christ is important because one of Jesus’ last promises to his Apostles was that he would come again to our world (AKA the famous Second Coming of Jesus) and release us from the bonds us death and into everlasting life.

The Second Coming of Jesus is associated with The End Times – a cataclysmic period foretold by most world religions and often associated with Armageddon (The Last Battle between the forces of Good vs Evil) and The Apocalypse (the end of the world) in which our world will undergo a “Last Judgement” of sorts (another topic common among world religions).

From the Christian perspective (and relevant to the topic of The Antichrist) St. John the Apostle’s Book of Revelation details the End Times in great detail, as do numerous other Gnostic texts (including The Apocalypse of Paul, The First Apocalypse of James, and the infamous Gospel of The Secret Supper which also attributed to St. John). Quite often the case is made that a certain amount of “faithful” followers will be Raptured (thus saving them from any suffering), while those “Left Behind” will be forced to suffer the events detailed in John’s Revelations – after which time the non-believers and ‘sinners’ will be ‘cast into the fires of Hell, while those who repent will be else Redeemed via Jesus’ Second Coming.

If Jesus is then The Christ – AKA the Savior of the World, the ANTIchrist is thus the Destroyer of the World – the entity who seeks to either stop the Second Coming from taking place and get as many from our world as possible to follow his path to self-destrubtion and thus return to the Fiery Pits with he and his father Satan.

What Else is The Antichrist Called?

Throughout history The Antichrist has been known by many names:

  • Satan’s Son
  • The Beast
  • The Anti Messiah
  • Antikhristos (Greek)
  • The Man of Sin
  • False Messiah
  • Belial
  • The Little Horn (of Daniel)
  • The Man of Lawlessness
  • The Dajjal or Al-Masīḥ ad-Dajjāl (Islam)
  • The Whore of Babylon
  • The Abomination of Desolation (Revelations, 17)

Who are The HISTORICAL Candidates for The Antichrist?

Nero – Emperor of Rome

Why Nero?
He set fire Rome in order to make way for his new kingdom — and he played the harp while watching his city burn!

Nero blamed the arson on Christians and used that excuse to begin their persecution (feeding them to wild beasts, using them as ‘human torches’ for his parties, etc). He also martyred Saint Peter (crucifying him upside down).

When John wrote Revelation, he incorporated a method of associating each letter of the alphabet with a corresponding numerical value (a process known as gematria) and “6-6-6” is the sum value of the Hebrew letters that spell the name…Nero Caesar!

Attila The Hun

Why Attila?
Attila and his barbarians left a trail of death and destruction across Asia and Europe that the world had never seen before. He destroyed more than a 100 cities such that ‘their dead could not be numbered.’
No armies could stop him, ultimately it was The Hand of God (in the form of a plague among his troops) that saved Rome and the rest of Europe from his advance.

Attila was the most feared man of his age and he was aptly known as “The Scourge of God.”

Archbishop Arnulf of Rheims

Why the archbishop?
Arnulf was the Thinking Man’s AntiChrist.

Born of a prostitute and a king, he rose to power himself and then attempted to orchestrate multiple conspiracies to bring down a French king as well as Pope John XV — hoping to install figureheads in both places so that he could puppet behind the scenes.
Arnulf went so far as to accuse Pope John of being the antichrist – as a cover for his own efforts. Truly this archbishop was a mysterious man who has yet to be fully understood.

Adam Weishaupt

Why Weishaupt?
What you may not know is that Adam Weishaupt was the Founder of the Illuminati – one of the most famous secret societies in the world today.

If that’s not shocking enough, many conspiracy theorists believe he also killed the real man known as George Washington and took his place America’s first President!

Why did he do it? The legend goes that Weishaupt wanted to forever altered world history by creating a superpower that would control the world and displace the Catholic Church. Answer: it could only be The Antichrist!

Who are the CURRENT Candidates for The Antichrist?

Pope Francis

Why Pope Francis?

As the head of the Roman Catholic Church, The Pope has long been considered a candidate for Satan’s Son. While Pope Francis’s actions to reform the much-maligned church quickly made him a beloved leader for his people early in his career, in the post-Covid world he revealed himself to be a proponent of globalism and an advocate against individual freedoms.

Pope Benedict

Why Benedict?

The mysterious figure who was the first pope to step down since the 14oo’s, Pope Benedict continued to remain in the shadows until his alleged death. Some wonder if Benedict faked his death and instead stepped aside from the public eye to setup Francis as his front made so he could implement his plans in secret? If he is still alive could Benedict be the Antichrist or The Beast’s Second Helper?

Dr. Anthony Fauci

Why Dr. Fauci?

Conspiracy theorists believe he is one of the lead men behind the Covid-19 plandemic or as least the patsy who did the dirty work for his masters. Some suggest that Dr. Fauci has toiled on behalf of his evil masters for most of his career with the goal being to enslave humanity in a totalitarian society of never-ending healthy and safety regulations that see the world’s people living a ‘lockdown life’ forever. Some believe Dr. Fauci had a hand in The Swine Flu, AIDS, the Bird Flu, and similar mysterious epidemics. Although probably not charismatic enough to be the Antichist (much to his chagrin), Dr. Fauci may well be the Second Helper.

Hussein Barack Obama

Why Obama?

The internet is filled with stories of Obama as the Antichrist. Given his openly anti-American agenda as President and his actions during his de facto third team as the true man in power behind the Harris-Biden administration, it’s not hard to see why many name Obama as The Antichrist.

Klaus Schwab

Why Klaus Schwab?

Although not as well-known as other figures on our list, Klaus Schwab has forced himself into the conversation. While he looks like the perfect Bond villian, he’s actually the Head of the World Economic Forum and Schwab literally wrote the book on The Great Reset – a globalist plan to ‘reset’ the world away from capitalism and set up a one-world government of non-elected officials who will own all property while they graciously advise the rest of us how to live in a sustainable manner. A big part of Schwab’s plan includes requiring all people to be implanted with microchips so that we can be continually monitored for our own health and safety. Could Klaus Schwab be the Antichrist? He certainly looks the part, right?

Bill Gates

Is Bill Gates the Antichrist?

Our last modern-day candidate is Bill Gates – the man who has humbly proclaimed himself to be the world’s savior. How could the man behind The Gates Foundation’s never-ending philanthropic works be considered The Antichrist? Perhaps because he’s on record for saying he wants to DEpopulate the planet? Or maybe it’s because some people believe he helped Dr Fauci orchestrate The Covid-19 Plandemic as part of a plan to vaccinate the world with DNA-changing mRNA vaccines they both helped develop? Or maybe it’s because some claim he’s trying to control the global food chain and food supplies in order to replace them with GMO-food and fake meats. Or maybe it’s because of his plan to block out the sun in order to ‘protect us’ from Climate Change. Or maybe its any number of other sinister plans Gates is rumored to be behind. Of all the people on our list, Mr. Gates may fit the bill for Antichrist better than anyone else. Then again, maybe he really is just a misunderstood Good Guy? Who wants to bet on that one?

What do all the DEAD Antichrists Have in Common?

Why talk about men whom History has proved NOT to be Antichrists?

After all, even if we once thought they were The Beast, events have proven otherwise, right?

Ah, but what if we were NOT wrong about all those men — what if ALL of them really were Satan’s Son?

How could that be — they all died, right? And they all departed from History and stopped causing problems, right?

Yes, but in every case, there was always some mystery that shrouded their death.

Consider Nero’s demise.
A supposed suicide in which he drove a dagger into his own throat – albeit with the aid of his personal secretary Epaphroditos. We should feel confident about that kind of death, right? Maybe. Maybe not. There’s no shortage of mystery around his freedman Epaphroditos and the subsequent quick burning of Nero’s body have always caused me to wonder.

“Wonder about what?” You say. “That seemed like a pretty convincing death to me.”

Ah, but was it really Nero who died? Or did Nero perhaps switch places with one of his aide and disappear himself?

I’m not alone in this belief – check out the “Nero Redivivus Legend” for more on the story.

Next there was Attila.
His demise is still the subject of controversy: was it internal bleeding by years of heavy drinking, or did he die at the hands of his wife Gudrun?

“What does it matter?” You reply. “Either way, he DID die and furthermore, Attila was buried in a triple coffin made of gold, inside of silver, inside of iron – to make sure he’d never escape!”

That’s true, and that same legend also says that his loyal men then diverted a section of the river Tisza in order to bury Attila’s coffin under the riverbed. BUT, did you know that all those men were later be killed by Attila’s son Ellac in order to keep the exact location of the grave site a secret.

Why?

Could it be that Attila escaped his grave? Or that he never really died at all?

What about Archbishop Arnulf of Rheims.
His death is still a mystery – only Vatican cardinals ‘witnessed’ it and their reliability for honesty at this time period remains highly in question.

And the same goes for Adam Weishaupt.
Did he really die, did Weishaupt assume the persona of America’s Founder George Washington, or has he somehow been preserved to this day by the Illuminati?

Adolf Hitler – another mystery.
April 30, 1945 – the day Hitler shot himself. Or did he?

Most people never saw Hitler’s remains, and for those who did, everyone said his body was unrecognizable after his own men burned it.

And remember — nobody actually saw Hitler get shot. So while some few did see a charred corpse – what we were told was his body – how could we know for certain?

Here’s a Shocker – What if All of These Men Were The Same Man?

Consider this for a moment with me…

What if The Beast was Nero to begin with, but for whatever reason, the Evil One determined that the timing for his rise was not right?

What if, on each of the occasions the Antichrist’s spirit did inhabit the body of these men, but do to some unexpected turn of events Satan chose to stop The Beast’s pursuit of Armageddon at that time and instead delay his rise to ensure he would be victorious?

“And yet, none of them fulfilled the destiny of The Antichrist.” You might rebutt.

True. But they did cause problems for the world. They did do much evil. And again I say that perhaps Satan himself called for a delay. After all, what is a few hundred or even a couple thousand years to an immortal being like Him?

Let’s not forget, Lucifer is a master manipulator.
For something as important as this, for the rise to power of his son and his own subsequent release from the prison of Hell, why surely, if he felt for even a moment that everything wasn’t going exactly as planned, he would pull the plug and start over later, right?

“Hmmm.” You agree, “Well, are correct on that. After all, experts believe that once The Antichrist attempts The Armageddon Rite, he will have one chance at it – just ONE.

This was the apparent agreement that Satan worked out with God — although why The Lord would allow Himself to be bound by such a possibility who can say?

Be that as it may , don’t you agree that this theory just might have something to it?

Care to find out? Go ahead, ask The Antichrist yourself – I’m sure he’d be thrilled to hear from you…

Does the Antichrist walk among us Today?

What if I told you that the events the Apostle John wrote about in the Book of Revelation were occurring NOW?

Given the unprecedented events that started back in 2019 and continue to this day, it’s not so hard to believe anymore is it?

But if you thought it was bad new, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Because what you may not know is…

The Antichrist is here and when he completes his rise to power, our world will be forever doomed.

Can anyone save us?

Find out by reading The Last Temptation of John trilogy!

Seven Deadly Sins, The Chairs of Woe, and The Antichrist

What is a “Deadly” sin and what are the Seven Deadly Sins from The Bible? In this article we’ll explore where they come from in the Bible, what each of the 7 Deadly Sins are, and talk about their relationship to the infamous Chairs of Woe which feature prominently in the books The Last Temptation of John – a trilogy of novels about the events of The Book of Revelations and the emergence of The Antichrist during our times.

[lwptoc]

What is a “Deadly” sin?

The “Deadly” sin is also known as ‘capital sin’ or a ‘mortal sin‘ because committing this types of sins was historically associated with a sin of such magnitude that it would be worthy of eternal death. If the person who committed the sin did not get absolved from it (via the Catholic sacrament of Confession), then they were believed doomed to spend eternity in the fires of Hell.

Think of a Deadly Sin as a crime that is punishable in the modern world by capital punishment (AKA “The Death Penalty”) and you’ll understand the significance of a ‘Deadly’ sin to a person who lived in the Middle Ages

What are the Seven Deadly Sins?

Lust
Gluttony
Greed
Sloth
Wrath
Envy
Pride

What are the Latin Names for the 7 Deadly Sins?

English to Latin

Lust = Luxuria

Gluttony = Gula

Greed = Avaritia

Sloth = Acedia or Tristitia

Wrath = Ira

Envy = Invidia

Pride = Superbia

What is the Meaning of the Seven Deadly Sins?

To understand the meaning of the 7 Deadly Sins we should first understand the context that made them popular. Dante Alighieri (AKA just “Dante”) was a famous poet and writer who lived in Italy during the Late Middle Ages – a period during which Europe (and especially Italy) was essentially ruled by the Catholic Church. Most of the people of the time were poor and endured terrible hardships during their lives – they didn’t have much to hope for in this world so many put their faith in the promise of a better life in the afterlife of The Bible as promised them by The Church.

To attain such an afterlife (unless one could afford to buy indulgences to pay for their sins – which most of the poor could not afford to do), a person had to live a good live on earth (by practicing the 7 Virtues discussed below) and above all avoiding the mortal sins that could cast them into Hell.

Although he didn’t invent the deadly sins (see below), Dante certainly made them famous when he wrote a trilogy of epic poems called “The Divine Comedy” which included the works “Inferno,” “Purgatorio,” and “Paradisio.” The most famous of these was “Inferno” (his vision of Hell) and this is the one wherein Dante brought The Seven Deadly Sins to life in graphic detail with his writing and the artist Gustave Dore took it a step further with his art…

In Dante’s book, the sinners whose souls are stuck in Hell (i.e. The Inferno) must endure an eternity of punishment by forever ‘living’ the very sin that put them in hell. And this is what brings us to our meaning  for each of the 7 deadly sins…

Lust – Luxuria – The First Deadly Sin
Dante’s first deadly sin was Lust, AKA Luxuria. This could be a carnal desire or a lust for something non-sexual.  From a sexual standpoint this sin could be “unbridled sexual desire that causes the sinner to fornicate, commit adultery, rape, bestiality, and other immoral sexual acts.” But lust of a non-sexual exists too – think lust for wealth, lust for power, etc. Anything a sinner lusts for is something that person places above God and thus the ‘deadly’ nature of this sin.

Gluttony – Gula – The Second Deadly Sin
The sin of Gluttony is overindulgence. Too much of anything is never a good thing, right? The over consumption that comes from being a glutton leads to waste and when you consider that food was scare and famines were frequent during the time Dante wrote, you get a better understanding why gluttony was such a big deal – if greedy rich people eat all the rood, that leaves little left for the needy and poor. Beyond just overeating, Gula is also associated with selfishness and the sin of gluttony occurs when you place your own desires above those of others.  Similar to Lust, the deadly sin of Gluttony causes the sinner to desire something above God – which is a surefire ticket to Dante’s Inferno, where said sinner can eat whatever they desired most in life again, and again, and again for all time… no matter how sick of it they become.

Greed – Avaritia – The Third Deadly Sin
Similar to Lust, the sin of Green is associated with desire – in this case mostly for wordly possession. Think “avarice” or “covetousness” and you’ll understand this sin. The Catholic Church talks about this sin as having an uncontrolled “desire and pursuit of material possessions” and Thomas Aquinas wrote, “Greed is a sin against God…in as much as man condemns things eternal for the sake of temporal things.” Examples of Greed are hoarding, theft, miserliness, simony, etc. Remember the words of Jesus from Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters… you can’t love both God and Money.” A sinner greedy for worldly possessions, loses their focus on God, thus forfeiting their potential treasures in heaven for the wealth of this world – which is unfortunately all too fleeting.

Sloth – Acedia or Tristitia – The Fourth Deadly Sin.
Unlike the other deadly sins, which are sins of action, the deadly sin of Sloth is a sin of INACTION. When we think of Sloth now, we usually bring to mind someone who is lazy , but the sin of Sloth is more than just laying around, it’s a failure to do, a failure to act, even a failure to feel. Dante wrote that Acedia was a “failure to love God with all one’s heart, all one’s mind and all one’s soul” (which bring to mind Jesus’ words in Luke 10:27). A person is such a state of apathy would be committing a deadly sin because they are failing to focus on God’s goodness and God’s mission for them in this world – by not using their talents they are destroying God’s work in their life.

Wrath – Ira – The Fifth Deadly Sin
The sin of Wrath is many things – including anger, hate, rage, and the desire for revenge. People who commit the sin of Wrath often do acts of violence that harm others (think murder, rape, torture, acts of war) or themselves (self-torture, suicide). Since this type of action is a violation of numerous Commandments it’s not hard to see why Wrath is a deadly sin that would send someone to Hell.

Envy – Invidia – The Sixth Deadly Sin
Envy is another deadly since based on desire. It’s also another associated with the 10 Commandments – (specifically the “Thou Shalt Not Covet” commandmens #8, 9, & 10). When someone is jealous of what their neighbor has, it creates a feeling of discontent and eventually severs their relationship. Envy can take many forms beyond just a desire for someone’s possessions, it could also be jealously for someone else’s appearance, status in life, abilities, etc. Dante wrote that  envy was “a desire to deprive other men of theirs” and Dante’s punishment for those who committed the deadly sin of Envy was “to have their eyes sewn shut with wire because they gained sinful pleasure from seeing others brought low” – ouch!

Pride – Superbia – The Seventh Deadly Sin
Believe it or not, the sin of Pride was the most deadly sin of all. Dante’s definition of pride was “love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one’s neighbor” and although it is last on the list of deadly sins, Dante consider it the worst. Why? Consider that Pride is the very sin that caused the angel Lucifer to be cast out of heaven. Biblical writers warn against the sin of Pride no less than 30 times in the Bible (for example Proverbs 16:5 ” The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.”) One could even argue that The Original Sin of Adam and Eve was one of Pride – the conscious decision to eat of the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in an effort to become more like God is perhaps the most prideful sin in human history. Thus Pride is (and always has been) the most deadly of the seven deadly sins.

Are the 7 Deadly Sins In The Bible?

The short answer is “NO” – the seven deadly sins are NOT listed in The Bible in the format we are used to seeing them in: i.e. Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride.

If they are not listed in the Bible, where did the 7 deadly sins come from?
In the 4th century a Christian mystic named Evagrius Ponticus listed 8 ‘Principal Vices’ which the Christian monk John Cassian cataloged in his writings (the additeional vice being one called “Vainglory“). Later, in the 6th century, Pope Gregory I trimmed the list of Cassian’s eight vices down to the “Seven Deadly Sins” that Dante made famous and which we know today.  Pope Gregory viewed these as capital (i.e. “principal”) because many other sins came from them. Additionally,  according to this source, they are enumerated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, #1866.

Although the 7 deadly sins are not ‘listed’ in a single list form anywhere in the Bible, they are certainly discussed throughout the text. Here’s an example (from a fellow blogger) of the sins referenced in numerous Bible books…

What are The Chairs of Woe? How do The Chairs of Woe and 7 Deadly Sins Fit Into The Last Temptation of John books?

The Chairs of Woe are torture devices that exist in the fictional world created by author M. C. Stoppa’s The Last Temptation of John books.

The Chairs of Woe are used by The Antichrist to torture the character Alan Zarus (AKA Lazarus) in an effort to get the immortal to reveal the location of the remaining Nails of Christ which The Beast needs to complete The Armageddon Rite to stop the Second Coming of Jesus.

Each Chair of Woe is located in a different room within the Antichrist’s palace and each chair is associated with one of the seven deadly sins – thus there are chairs for Lust, Gluttony,  Greed, Wrath, Sloth, Envy and Pride.

No mortal could endure a single Chair of Woe for very long without perishing, yet when the Antichrist forces the immortal Lazarus to endure the torture of The Chairs, disastrous consequences result – since Lazarus can’t die, he is forced to suffer beyond measure and only the combined efforts of his fellow immortals can save him – if they dare to try to break into The Beast’s stronghold.

The Antichrist and The 7 Deadly Sins

The Antichrist has come

What if the events detailed in The Book of Revelations were about to occur… this year?

Could anyone save us from certain death? The answer is YES. Hard as it may be to believe, St. John the Apostle is still alive today – having been blessed with the Gift of Immortality so that he could survive to fight against the coming of The Antichrist. Unfortunately, over the course of the last 2,000 years John has lost is faith!

Can John recover his faith in time to stop Armageddon or will Satan’s Son achieve Ultimate Victory? The answer to that question and many more will be revealed in the thrilling new book series The Last Temptation of John.

Read it the trilogy today… if your faith is strong enough.

1.27 Room 101

Book I: Chapter 27
June 23

The marathon revelation continued for me as I watched Alan’s torture from afar. When Bill Bates as Ghaz Ma’bus instructed his servant to take Alan to The Life Labs, even the loyal Iffat froze at the thought and I saw Alan visibly shudder at the thought…

What was it about Bates’ labs that scared everybody?

I feared we’d find out soon enough.

Not wanting to upset his master, Iffat quickly recovered and got to work — after further securing Alan to the bed’s frame, he adjusted the prison bed in such a way that Alan was raised fully upright. Then, after unlocking the wheels, Alan’s movable prison was ready to go.

Bates nodded, “All set? Good. Iffat lead the way.”

I watched as they guided Alan through stark hallways, devoid of activity. Finally, after descending multiple levels, at last they stopped before an otherwise non-descript room – its only detail of note being the numbers on the door, which read Room 101.

(Hmm, makes me think of an Orwellian book I once read. Oh, sorry, guess I’m getting off track).

Bates moved ahead to provide the security codes required to enter. Once finished, he opened the door, “Go ahead, Iffat.”

When his servant hesitated, Bates chuckled, “Don’t worry, Iffat, YOU will be exiting again.”

Still frightened, Iffat cautiously pushed Alan’s bed forward.

Torch fires burned in sconces on the walls, swathing everything in stark brightness – an evil paradox to the deadly pall emanating from Room 101. Standing in the middle of the room was none other than Tony Flipflop – the infamous doctor who’d partnered with Bates on creating the Covid plandemic.

“Welcome to the Life Labs.” Dr Flipflop proudly stated (he always was someone who loved a good show).

“It’s where Tony and I ply the task given to me by my father.” Bates added.

“Which is?” Alan could not resist.

“Why, that of attempting to unlock the mysteries of Life, The Universe, and Everything.” Bates replied in a deadpan tone.

In my vision I looked past the lap dog Dr. Flipflop and into the rest of the room. Against the rear wall I noted a steel cage – understanding at once that anyone who found himself in that cell would be facing a grim future indeed. For in the center of the room were three cold-looking, metal tables; beside each was a little push cart, filled with a plethora of cutting tools – flaying knives, bone saws, and hooks – as well as situational instruments like forceps, clamps and vices. Wash stands too stood at the head of each work area. And each table had raised edges on all but one side.

Seeing Alan also looking around, Bates also smiled, “Ah, you’re noticed our work stations. You’re probably wondering why the sides are mismatched? It’s simple really — whenever Dr. Flipflop has one of my subjects exposed on the cutting board, with their blood flowing freely – and it always does – well, I just can’t stand for him to lose even a drop. But with our tables crafted in this manner, we can ensure that Dr. Flipflop ‘s participant will have their life-force flow down the slope of the table, to run off into tiny troughs waiting below to collect that precious liquid. Clever, huh?”

Alan’s knees buckled, “Why are you showing me all this? It doesn’t matter what you do to me. I’ll never help you.”

Bates overlooked that, “Prior to our tour, you asked how I planned to influence you.” And striding casually around the room, he explained, “Surely you were around during the so-called Dark Ages, right? Alas, how I miss those days. Yet, I digress. You will make a great candidate for Nail Removal. Perhaps I’ll instruct Tony to pull off a few of your toes too. Of course, you can be sure that we won’t overlook my favorite method of all – Flaying – even I get in on the fun for that!” And he demonstrated his delicate technique in the air with one of his knives.

(BTW, for an excellent feel for what it’s like to be flayed alive, read this article from Ranker – I can tell you from first hand experience, it’s pretty accurate!).

Meanwhile, seeing his words hit home, Dr. Flipflop goaded Alan, “You see, that’s the beauty of it all, Mr. Zarus — Dr. Ma’bus tells me that you CAN’T die! I’ve never had a subject like that and I can’t wait to experiment on you.”

“We’ll torture you forever – until you break.” Bill sneered. “And you WILL break, Lazarus.”

Alan gritted, “You can break my bones, but you’ll never break my spirit. My Lord will protect that much.”

“Even your master broke in the end.” Bates laughed.

“Preposterous!”

Search your feelings and you know I’m correct.  We had Jesus on the brink, ready to give up. You know he felt forsaken on that cross. It was his moment of truth and when he finally realized his own father abandoned him, you know what he wailed…”

Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani,” Alan whispered.

“’My God, why have you forsaken me.’” Bates translated in delight. “It’s true — your Master doubted himself and all he THOUGHT he was.”

“But in the end, God DID save his son.” Alan fought Bates’ logic.

“Your God broke his promise to my father! The deal was that we could tempt Jesus WITHOUT him getting assistance from Above.”

Alan did not reply – seemingly caught in his own vision of what Christ must have endured while in the limbo of Hell without His Father’s protection.

“Christ in Limbo” by Hieronymus Bosch

(OK, I’ll admit, this was all news to me. Even though I said I don’t care, I’m not all that keen on doubting the power of God. I mean, it’s one thing for a child to complain about his parents, but the kid doesn’t usually like it when an outsider is doing the insulting, right? That’s kind of how I felt. Bill Bates was really starting to get my goat).

“Nonetheless,” Bates calmed himself, “We are patient. My Father and I know the treacherous ways of The Cursed One. After Jesus’ death, when he descended to us, we had three good days with him – but there again your God broke his promise and forced us to give up his pitiful son.”

“This is insane. Jesus descended to Hell, overcame death, and rose again in victory within three days – just as The Scriptures said.”

“Documents written by men AFTER the fact prove nothing. Talk about Revisionist History.” (OK, so he might have a point there, but when else could we have written them?)

“That’s not even worth a reply.”

“Believe what you will. But my point is this — your Christ did NOT defeat Death. And he certainly did not defeat my father. If so, why is this war not over? No, the FACT is that we let Jesus go.”

“You’re mad.”

“Perhaps. Even still, I speak the truth. After all, in your own Scriptures, didn’t Jesus repeatedly say that your own generation would not pass away before his second coming? Yet where is he?”

(Now this was hitting too close to home. If I had any power to end my visions, this would have been one I sacked. But alas, I was locked in and, like Alan, forced to keep listening to this madman).

“I tell you the real truth!” Bates said. “Your Messiah is a coward.”

Alan changed the subject, “I will endure anything you throw at me. And my Lord will give me all the strength I need.”

“I figured you’d say that. Which is why my plan is not really to have Dr. Flipflop torture you indefinitely – just to give you a taste of what your friends will feel.”

“What do you mean? Have you done something with Benedict?”

“Don’t worry about Joseph – evil men are snared by their own sin.”

“Then who are you talking about?” Alan played dumb. “What are you really after, Ma’bus?”

“Surely you know that I need all THREE Nails. And as to what I want, you know that too, Brother — I want to destroy you, I want to destroy your master, and I want to destroy all that ever was. I want to consume it all, to be ALL!”

OK, I have to admit, by this point I actually pissed my pants – and saying that was because I’m an old man is not really true – I was scared!

Thankfully, my vision finally ended, and I could get back to my bottles of Jack — yes, I said bottles – it was the only way I knew I could escape my fate… or so I hoped…
